About Rob & Grace
Rob

I was saved at the age of four under the preaching of Pastor Mickey Carter at Landmark
Baptist Church. My parents brought me into services as early as possible. In a Wednesday
evening service on the night before Thanksgiving, I heard a message on hell. At
that point, I understood that even as a child, I deserved hell. Without accepting
Christ as my personal Savior, that was where I was headed. That evening, when I
got home, I told my Dad that I wanted to get saved. He went over the verses that
I already had memorized. I knelt to pray on the arm of our couch and asked Jesus
to come into my heart, save me from my sins, and take me to heaven when I died.
I was baptized soon afterwards.
I won my first soul to Christ as a teenager at Northwest Bible Baptist Church and
became and active soulwinner and involved in the bus ministry. As a junior in high
school, I surrendered to go to the mission field. While praying about a mission
field, the Lord laid Nepal on my heart. Upon graduation from high school, I attended
Providence Baptist College where I graduated with a degree in missions. I also earned
my private pilots license in hope of using aviation on the mission field. I met
Grace in my second year of college and we were married the summer after I graduated.
We currently live in Sycamore, IL and attend NBBC where I work on a bus route and
teach a 4 & 5 year olds Sunday School class every week.

I too, was raised in a Christian home. At the age of seven, after family devotions
one night, my mom showed me from the Bible how to be saved. I prayed, but as I grew
older I began to have some doubts about my salvation. I could not remember very
clearly what I had done when I was younger, so in a Sunday evening church service,
I went forward to settle my salvation once and for all. Now I know without a doubt
that I am saved because I’ve put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and He has washed
all my sins away. I have surrendered my life to God and I am willing to go where
the Lord has called my husband. The Lord has really used the survey trip that my
husband and I were able to take in November of 2006 to give me a burden for the
people of Nepal, it broke my heart to see people working so hard serving their false
gods and never once having heard about the one, true God and His Son, Jesus Christ,
who can save them from their sin and hell. Please pray for us as we go and tell
them.
